TIMELESS is a Wilmington, NC commercial general contractor founded by Tony Johnson in 2007. For 19 years we've delivered design-build, Butler PEMB, restaurant, retail, and office projects across New Hanover, Brunswick, Pender, and Onslow, Horry, counties: 300+ projects completed on one promise we put in writing: Built Right, On Time.

In 1996 Tony Johnson left Ohio State for Wilmington, NC Cape Fear Community College, then UNCW,where he launched his first small business while still a student. In 2002 he graduated UNCW with a degree in Finance. The pattern was set early: build something of your own, and finish what you start.
At 84 Lumber, Tony learned buildings from the inside out blueprints, estimating, structural and finish components, and value engineering that helped builders hit budgets without cutting corners. More important: he built relationships with the builders and subcontractors who would trust him for the next twenty years.
Tony established TIMELESS in 2007 and earned his NC General Contractor's license in 2008. Early work focused heavily on local education, government, and bank foreclosure PROJECTS. Our first consistent repeat client was University of North Carolina at Wilmington (UNCW). TIMELESS performed a variety of work on campus including repainting the exterior of Cameron School of Business, DOBO Hall and multiple dormitories. Renovations of multiple on campus Restaurants (Dub's Cafe), Hanover Hall Swimming Pool, Racketball Room conversions, Classrooms, Offices, The Basketball Stadium, The Movie Theater, The Men's Basketball and Women's Volleyball locker rooms to name just a few. This relationship formed the foundation for TIMELESS to develop a paint and drywall division and expand to other local school systems and higher learning opportunities.
While the industry had contracted, TIMELESS was able to grow steadily and diversify into more private interior build-outs, new construction, and development. Alongside this growth our Paint & Drywall division expanded to service local, regional, and national home builders. We completed nail salons, restaurants, retail spaces, and ground up commercial builds expanding from just performing locally to performing some out of town projects. Referrals and Repeat clients fueled our consistent growth. Our focus and dedication to delivering projects on or ahead of schedule with quality work established us as one of the premier interior contracts in the area.
Tony went all-in: full-time office personnel, dedicated site supervisors, and growing partnerships with developers, local owners, and national brands across up-fits,renovations, and ground-up development. Our Interiors side of the business continued to expand to regional and national brands. Our focus on ground up construction continued to develop and expand.
Hurricane Florence. COVID. Material shortages and inflation. Timeless kept its commitments and kept growing and Tony added the South Carolina General Contractor's license (SC GC #126932) to extend that certainty across state lines.
High growth,deliberately built: a new headquarters for a growing team, NC Utility and NC Highway licenses to self-perform site work, the exclusive Butler Buildings dealership for four coastal counties, and a rebrand that names what we sell TIMELESS Construction, certainty in commercial construction.
