Estimator delivers critical support to the project teams by providing accurate and timely cost estimates for construction projects. This role is essential in analyzing project drawings and specifications, collaborating with architects and subcontractors, and ensuring effective communication among all stakeholders. The Estimator plays a key part in delivering estimating services to clients from the time an estimate request is received from a client until we are awarded the project and PM is assigned.

Job Description

·        Minimum of 5 years’ experience successfully estimating construction projects for a general contractor

·        A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field is preferred but not required.

·        Experience :Minimum of 5+ years experience estimating full time.

·        Numbers oriented person

·        Proficient in construction estimating and take off software: Procore, Sage, Building Connected, BlueBeam

·        Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

·        Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

·        Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

·        Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

·        In-depth understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.

Requirements

·        Review proposal specifications, drawings, attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate. Some travel is required

·        Produce, collect, and distribute Estimator RFI’s

·        Participate in proposal presentations to Clients and project hand-off meetings

·        Prepare thorough, accurate and competitive estimates for construction projects by established bid deadline. Identify and incorporate value-engineered alternatives related to materials, construction methods, and design.

·        Analyze proposals from subcontractors for cost and scope. Develop a full scope of work for each sub-trade prior to and during bid soliciting.

·        Analyze estimates for not awarded projects to course-correct and improve likelihood of winning future business

·        Organize and lead the transition of the project cost estimate to the assigned Project Manager.
